Depending on the size of your building and the scale of the emergency, we may need to send more than one operative. Tempus has a large and experienced team of facilities management experts, so we’re always prepared to work on projects of all sizes.
Emergency maintenance covers all aspects of your site that could breakdown or become faulty, such as:
What does an emergency maintenance team do?
Once we arrive on your premises, our emergency maintenance procedures will always be to mitigate the risks, ensure health and safety compliance and attempt to find a solution. This will help to prevent minor emergencies from escalating into larger problems. Our emergency maintenance team will do their best to quickly and efficiently repair any broken or faulty systems and equipment on site.
Depending on the exact condition of your systems and building fabric, immediately making complete repairs may not always be possible. If this is the case, then we will prioritise health and safety compliance for your site. From there, we can schedule a follow-up visit as soon as possible where we can continue to make repairs and return your equipment and systems to a good working condition.
Following a visit, we will provide a full electronic report of any work that was carried out and detail any additional work that is still required. This will help you to be reassured of the work completed but also have a clear description of what else may need to be done.
We provide urgent maintenance for buildings across many sectors, such as education, retail and hospitality. Regardless of the size of the building or what it’s used for, we’ve got the expertise to work on your site and provide a solution.
What other types of maintenance are there?
While emergency breakdown maintenance will help you with reactive repairs, there are other ways you can keep your equipment and systems working.
PPM
Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is maintenance that we carry out to proactively prevent issues or downtimes. While we can’t guarantee that PPM will always prevent breakdowns, it does reduce the chance of systems malfunctioning.
We will provide your site with regular and thorough maintenance and make sure that every piece of equipment is accounted for. By doing this, we can ensure that you are remaining compliant with the relevant health and safety regulations. This will help to create a safe working environment for you and your team to operate in.
Our team can work with you to create a 52-week PPM plan to provide you with complete coverage and scheduled maintenance. You will always know when we’ll be on your site and our Helpdesk will ensure you’re kept updated throughout. After every scheduled visit to your site, we will provide you with a report of our findings and any maintenance we have performed. In addition, we will quote for any remedial works and detail forthcoming work for systems or equipment that will need maintenance at some point in the future, either to prevent a breakdown or to ensure compliance.
Reactive Maintenance
We can also offer reactive maintenance that might be less urgent. Our handyperson service is perfect for basic repairs and maintenance around your site that aren’t a top priority but do need to be resolved at some point. Our handyperson is trained to perform a wide range of general maintenance around a building. This means that instead of hiring five individuals to complete small tasks around your site, you can simply hire one handyperson who can do them all.
Speak to our helpdesk
To find out more about our emergency maintenance services, give us a call and speak to a member of our team. We’ll be happy to explain exactly how we can help you in various scenarios that you may be concerned about. If you prefer the idea of preventative maintenance to reactive maintenance, we can organise a PPM schedule for your company and take on the responsibility of making sure you remain compliant with health and safety.
